Attorney Jose Aponte, is a native of New York City, but was raised in the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico. He has been practicing law since 2007 and was drawn to the area of Immigration law early in his career. Attorney Aponte has a passion for immigration and has developed his skills representing clients with tough cases such as Asylum applicants. He is fluent in both the English and Spanish languages and has studied Brazilian Portuguese for a number of years. Attorney Aponte has represented clients in New York, Puerto Rico, Louisiana and Texas. He has also been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law where he taught Asylum and Refugee.
Attorney Aponte is married to Laura Robles-Aponte,M.S. CCC-SLP, a speech-language pathologist. They reside in Humble, Texas.
